An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Developer to join our dynamic and friendly team at Pivotal to facilitate the continual growth and expansion of the business. We are therefore looking to recruit people to join us at this exciting time for Pivotal.
Our company is searching for a motivated and experienced Developer to join our dynamic IT Team. Your goal will be to build efficient programs and systems that serve both internal and customer user needs. This role would suit those who are new to a commercial environment although have spent sufficient time learning their skill and building their knowledge.

For the successful candidate we offer the following:
Rate of pay
The current rate of pay is between £30,000 and £35,000 dependent on experience in addition to a generous training package, you will be contracted to work 40 hours per week, 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. You will be paid monthly by credit transfer to your nominated bank account.
Pension Scheme
After 3-months service with the company you will be automatically enrolled in the company pension (NEST), if eligible.
Holiday Entitlement
You will be entitled 20 days holiday plus 8 statutory days per year (entitlement is pro-rata for part time employees).

Job Description
We are seeking a capable and knowledgeable individual to lead in developing the software that supports the overall Pivotal customer proposition across our product suite. This exciting Developer role will build and implement functional programs. A critical part of our team with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills as Pivotal accelerate our company wide strategic plan.
Responsibilities:
- Experience as a software developer in a commercial environment.
- In-depth understanding, ability to interpret and code (as required) in one of more object-oriented programming languages
- Experience with REST web service development.
- Strong experience with highly secure and scalable web development.
- Experience with database design and development. Able to create and interpret Entity Relationship Diagram.
- Strong experience with MySQL and able to write and optimise complex SQL queries.
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft Access and VB Script programming
- Cloud platform experience (Azure/AWS etc.)
- Able to understand business requirements and transform technical specifications.
- Experience in developing applications that can process high volumes of information without performance degradation (ensuring data security)
- In-depth experience and understanding of systems, as well as systems analysis and design experience of a formal software development life-cycle
- Graduated from Software Engineering discipline.
- Familiarity with Accounting Principles
