Communications and Marketing Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Communications and Marketing Manager to join our dynamic and friendly team at Pivotal to facilitate the continual growth and expansion of the business. We are therefore looking to recruit people to join us at this exciting time for Pivotal.
Key Requirements
· Manage and maintain all marketing plans and activities – including advertising, promotional activity, campaigns, events, digital and online marketing, loyalty scheme, direct mail, social media and PR.
· Deliver on and drive the marketing and communications strategies for the Company in line with Company objectives.
· Work closely with all internal functions
· Reach out to influencers for events and social media collaborations
· Responsibility for brand strategy and brand management.
· Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications.
· Maintain effective internal and external communications.
· Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends.
· Educated to Degree level or relevant qualification in Communications, Advertising, Marketing or Public Relations.
For the successful candidate we offer the following:
Rate of Pay
The starting salary is up to £40,000 per annum DOE. You will be contracted to work 40 hours per week, 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday – Friday. You will be paid monthly by credit transfer to your nominated bank account.

Job Description
This important and varied new role has been introduced at an exciting time for Pivotal who are going through an exciting period of growth throughout it’s UK merchant and cash services. The Communications and Marketing Manager will lead transformative marketing communications plans and activity which engage with our target audiences, at a national level, and develop compelling campaigns which both promote awareness and drive knowledge of the Company, our services and ultimately sales.
You will work with dynamic colleagues across the business including our senior leadership team, sales and Managers to deliver high impact marketing activity.
Key Responsibilities
· Developing and implementing PR, strategic social media, and web content plans in line with client brands and campaigns, executing traditional and digital communications strategies, maintaining engagement and reporting campaign results to Senior Management and clients.
· Seeking out opportunities to strategically grow and develop existing client campaigns and projects.
· Utilise and maintain relations with key media personnel
· Contributing to creative direction of wider content strategy to optimise digital channels.
· Development and management of website content including copywriting for SEO to tie in with wider marketing objectives.
· Duties specific to the marketing materials for a wide range of digital, print and social platforms.
· Management of social media and digital advertising budgets, advising on effective allocation and reporting on results.
· Evaluating and advising management team on appropriate partnerships including competitions, sponsorships, and collaborations, ensuring relevant publicity is obtained and a post-event analysis of effectiveness is carried out.
· On-the-ground coordination of PR and social media activities for events and assisting with associated communications activity and as required including media and photography.
· Identifying editorial content opportunities and photo angles and researching, preparing, distributing and following-up press releases and photos.
· Preparing update reports, proposals, tender documents, award entries, evaluation of coverage and campaigns, compiling tables and graphs to highlight results gained and reporting outcomes to campaign objectives
· Providing marketing and / or communications support & advice to senior managers to aid decision making
· Business development with ability to monitor and report on aspects of budgetary control and advise on resources and expenditure
· Ability to build & maintain strong working relationships (both internal and external)
· Confidence to experiment with different tactics, shake up strategy, adapt to new trends, to incorporate business changes.
Personal Criteria
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Communications/Marketing/PR role essential
· Member of a relevant professional body, (e.g. CIPR, PRCA or equivalent) and committed to Continued Professional Development (CPD) is desirable
· In possession of or working towards a CIPR recognised qualification or accreditation is desirable
· Results focused with a proven track record of success
· Confident, driven and dynamic personality.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with all stakeholders.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Strong Creative Outlook with excellent attention to detail.
· Strong analytical and project management skills.
· Proficient in IT systems, including MS Packages.
· Strong background in both traditional and digital marketing strategies/ techniques.
· Experience with Google Analytics
· Self-driven and the ability to work on own initiative.
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and adhere to deadlines.
· Strong leadership and people skills.
· Experience of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
· Commercial awareness.
· Flexible attitude to work.
· Willingness to travel to all Company sites when required.
· Clean & Valid Driving licence.
